About Volker

Volker Schlettwein

The Journey

Twenty years ago, I burned out.

Not because I wasn’t skilled, committed, or driven. But because I’d spent years performing a version of myself that wasn’t real — and it was exhausting.

That breakdown became my doorway. I began the honest, uncomfortable work of understanding what was actually driving me — the patterns I’d built, the defences I’d perfected, and what it would mean to lead from something more than pressure and will.

That journey — messy, humbling, and ultimately transformative — became the foundation of everything I do today.

The Work

I work with leaders who have built real success — and are beginning to sense that the way they got there may not be the way forward.

Not through more strategy or performance coaching. Through the deeper work. Getting honest about the patterns running underneath the performance. Understanding why you react the way you do under pressure. Recovering the clarity, energy, and purpose that years of high performance can quietly erode.

This isn’t about lowering standards or stepping back. It’s about leading from a place that’s more sustainable, more integrated, and ultimately more powerful.

How I Work

I create spaces — in nature, in boardrooms, in virtual settings — where leaders can finally stop performing and start understanding what’s actually driving them.

My work draws on a range of therapeutic, somatic, and systemic frameworks — chosen for what each can reach that strategy and conversation alone cannot.

Leaders leave with greater clarity, less reactivity, and a renewed sense of what they’re actually here to do.

Who I Work With

CEOs, founders, entrepreneurs, and forum members — typically people who are high-functioning on the outside and quietly questioning on the inside. Who’ve done the strategy work, the leadership programs, the performance coaching — and sense that what’s missing won’t be found in another performance framework.

If that’s you — let’s talk.
